If you’re looking for an Anlin window contractor, give this company a try. They are pros when it comes to installing new windows or replacing old ones. Also, the prices aren’t bad at all for Sacramento.

Alex (sales) was so helpful in getting us quotes quickly and providing us with all of the options. When our project had some delays, he followed up periodically to check in and make sure the windows were ordered and ready at the right time. Alex (installer) and crew were fantastic. They were so efficient, systematic and diligent with their work and finished 13 window replacements in a day. Highly recommend.

They were very fast, friendly, and they cleaned up after themselves. The clean-up was very important to me. They were also very accommodating.
The communication stood out for me.

We recently bought a house and quickly discovered (during our windy/rainy winter) that at least three of the windows leaked. Two of which were bad enough to occasionally create puddles on the floor. It was also pretty obvious that the siding on the house had not been properly maintained and was falling apart in some areas.
I had a couple of things that were critical to me: The windows had to be entirely replaced, not just mostly removed and fitted to the existing window frames. The latter is often done to save money and usually doesn’t require a city permit. It also results in much smaller windows.
All the new windows were to be double-pane.
The siding was a tough decision. I was between Hardieboard and Stucco. I noticed that most of the houses in the area that had been resided with stucco had developed cracks. After some research, I decided to go with Hardieboard.
I also wanted the old siding removed, as it was in very poor condition. Some Hardieboard/Stucco installers will simply install over the existing siding.
The quotes I got back varied hugely. The crazy thing is that the most expensive quote did not include removing the old siding and also would not completely replace the windows, but would instead install into the old frames.
I had already received a few quotes (all of these were free, btw) from a few companies when Alex from Best Exteriors stopped by for his scheduled visit. He was very excited about his products, to the point where I found myself trying not to laugh at his enthusiasm about his windows. He did a nifty display showing how much the windows (which have a thin film coating) cut the heat from a hot lamp placed on the table (He had a demo window section). I didn’t really base any of my decisions on his display, mostly because I have seen too many salesman demos to take them seriously.
Back to that heat lamp display in a second.
I listed all of the things I wanted and I was rather surprised to find that he was more than happy to provide all the required services, exactly as desired, along with some additional work on a few other exterior related items. In fact, he informed me they removed the existing siding by default and that was included in the price, which was completely opposite to what other companies had offered.
Then he showed me the quote, which floored me. It was half the quote of a previous company which would not have met a number of my requirements. He also offered to work with the local Pace program to get the work financed.
It almost seemed to good to be true. After a talk with my wife, we gave the go ahead.
At that point we discussed colors. My wife and I had looked at various houses for months prior and had never come up with the exact color scheme that would look good, but we had a sort of rough idea. Looking at the samples in our dining room was tricky though, as it was hard to imagine what they would look like on the house. We decided on a color scheme and Alex asked what kind of look we were going for. He then offered an alternative suggestion which was similar but a slightly different color set. He mentioned it would look much better with our roof. We decided to go with his suggestion.
Our appointment was approximately a month later, and we both began to stress about the choice of color. We began to wonder if he hadn’t picked some overly dark and bland colors. Then the day arrived and the materials showed up. The colors were perfect!
The crew was wonderful to work with. I wanted to work on some portions of the house while they had it open, and the team was more than happy to work with me. they were a very friendly bunch and really seemed to care about their work. The work included painting various areas such as the eves and garage. It looked great. They even did things like build mounting boxes for the exterior lighting and then installed the lighting so it looked much better than original.
I had an odd house with some strange places where the exterior walls stick out in odd ways. they did a great job working around that as well.
Once they finished it was gorgeous. I could not have been more happy with the color scheme and look. Our neighbors have said very nice things and asked for advice.
Back to the windows: I tore down an outside patio as part of the remodel and did not yet have blinds up in the back of the house. Each morning we were all but blinded by the sun streaming in, and the heat was very noticeable. I planned on getting new blinds shortly after the new windows were installed.
Here’s the cool bit though, going back to the sales demo: After the new windows were up and before we installed the blinds, the difference in heat was pretty amazing. The house no longer heated up as much and the windows, while not obviously tinted, cut the blinding light down a bit as well. Standing in the sun streaming from the windows no longer made me start to sweat. Cool! Just like the demo!

We just completed the walk thru of our 18 installed windows and 1 sliding glass door. We are very happy with our salesman (Daniel, Sacramento office), the installers (Alex & Alex), the window quality (Anlin), the quality of the work and the price. Daniel did a very good job communicating everything we needed to know about Best Exteriors, Anlin Windows and the installation process. The installers were polite, respectful and flexible. They worked around my husband’s work schedule to find a convenient time to replace the window in his den when he would not be on a business call. Their quality of work was very good. They paid attention to details, especially when replacing the outside window trim. Their lines were plum, square and level. I also appreciated that the installers checked in with me at the beginning and end of all their shifts. They told me what their were goals were for the day, we asked each other questions and they asked for my opinions and preferences when I had options. Also, we didn’t pay a penny until the work was completed, the area picked up and tools loaded back onto their truck. I definitely recommend Best Exteriors, Daniel, Alex and Alex.
